Setup Scriptel Signature Pad for Citrix XenDesktop 75 and 76

Instructions

On the XenDesktop delivery controller, start "Citrix Studio".

While the video displays working with XenDesktop 76, most of the steps are identical for XenDesktop 75. There is one difference that will be discussed at the end. This is shown at location 2:54 in the video.

These instructions assume you have Citrix XenDesktop set up and that you can connect your virtual desktop.

They also assume that on your virtual desktop, you have visited scriptel.com, and downloaded and installed ScripTouch Sign and Save from the https://scriptel.com/support/downloads section.

  1. Click on "Policies," and close the "Welcome screen."
  2. And now, click on "Edit Policy..."
  3. In our case, there's only one policy and it's named "Unfiltered." (See video for demonstration.)
  4. In the search bar, type "USB."
  5. First, you must enable USB forwarding.
  6. In the row labeled "Client USB Redirection," click on "Select" or "Edit."
  7. Click on "Allow" and "OK."
  8. Next, find the row labeled "Client USB device redirection rules," and click on "Select" or "Edit" for that row.
  9. Create a new value.
  10. In the new value, type "Allow: VID=18FB." (This id is registered for Scriptel products. By setting this, you are giving our products access.)
  11. Click on "OK," "Next," and "Finish."

The delivery controller is now set.

  1. Go to the client machine and plug in the Scriptel ST Series device.
  2. It may search for a new driver. Let it finish installing that if it finds one.
  3. Start up your virtual desktop.
  4. Under "Devices," you should see that your Scriptel device is present and checked.
  5. Now start up Sign and Save.
  6. You can now sign using your Scriptel device.
  7. There is one difference with Citrix 75.
  8. On a 75 installation, plug in a Scriptel signature pad, and start a virtual desktop.
  9. While the driver is being installed on the client, and the Citrix receiver will noticed the new device and notify the user and ask them about what to do about it.
  10. Click on the notice and select your device.

Then the driver will be installed on the delivery agent. After it is installed, it will show in the Devices list, just as it was in 76. This is the only relevant difference between 76 and 75.
