Instructions

This video tutorial will walk you through the installation process for Scriptel OmniScript on Apple OSX, and how to verify that it was installed successfully.

Once you've downloaded the OmniScript installer from Scriptel's website, the next step is to run the installer.

  1. Begin by double-clicking on the installation package.
  2. A window will appear with the installer inside of it.
  3. Double-click the installer.
  4. The installer will appear.
  5. Click "Continue."
  6. The "End-User License Agreement" will be displayed. Please read it carefully, and click "Continue."
  7. You will be asked if you'd like to change the default OmniScript install location.
  8. If you'd like, hit the "Change Install Location..." button and pick a new location, or just click "Install."
  9. You will be prompted for your Administrator password so that the install can continue.
  10. Enter your credentials, and hit "Install Software."
  11. The installer will complete a series of installation steps. Once completed, you should see a message that tells you that the installation was successful. Once you see this screen, you could hit "Close."

OmniScript is now installed. You can go ahead and close the package window.

You can also eject the installation package on your desktop by right-clicking and hitting "Eject Scriptel OmniScript."

Verification

To verify your installation:

  1. First plug in a ScripTouch device, and open a web browser.
  2. Type http://localhost:8080 into the address bar, and hit "Enter."
  3. You should see a web page labeled, "Web Device Manager." Your ScripTouch device should be listed under your computer name on the left-hand side of the screen.

You have verified that your installation was successful.
